The plot, in Candy’s words
The boyfriend starts out completely devoted. Everything shifts when his girlfriend’s identical twin comes to stay, since she does not care one bit about his loyalty. A battle of willpower turns into a double deception, with him secretly seeing both sisters, and the synopsis closes on one more complication: their equally alluring mother is on her way home.
More going on than usual
In fairness, few Candy synopses pack in this much. Many five-parters lean on one forbidden pairing; My Girlfriend’s Twin builds in stages instead, going from temptation to two hidden affairs and then to a third woman whose arrival raises the stakes. Making the sister an identical twin is a genuine hook as well, adding a layer of mix-ups and secrecy that a typical sister-in-law story does not have. Candy dreaming up setups this playful is exactly why we keep coming back.
Where it might trip up is room to breathe. One boyfriend hiding things from three women is a lot to squeeze into five short episodes, particularly when the two free ones are there to set things up. Going by the synopsis, the mother works as the closing twist rather than a full storyline, so she likely gets less screen time than the twins.
