The story in brief
The whole setup would fit on the back of a napkin. A man has the place to himself, except for his young stepmom, who is fully aware of the effect she has on him. She notices exactly what he wants and, instead of pretending she did not see, turns all that staring into an invitation meant for two.
Oddly enough, the date promised by the title never shows up in the synopsis. There is no plan, no evening out, and the empty house is the only excuse, so the name suggests more setup than the description really delivers.
Our honest take
Few of Candy’s stepmom premises are as thin as this one. There is no rival, no secret and no partner about to walk back in early; only two people and a single invitation. That does not make it a bad series on its own. Plenty of viewers want exactly that, a short that drops the drama and gets moving. Judge a series by how much plot it squeezes into five episodes, however, and there is not much here to hold on to.
Its biggest strength is its directness. Right from the start the stepmom takes the initiative, so the focus stays on her rather than on a tangled reason for leaving the two of them alone. Honestly, that confident lead is the kind of scene Candy keeps pulling off better than most adult studios.
Two free episodes, one easy test
Episodes 1 and 2 cost nothing to watch. Because the premise is so tight, those two should show you most of what the series has, from the house and the couple to the tension between them.
