What the synopsis promises
A human thief slips into an elven princess’s realm hunting for a relic. She catches him in the act and, rather than ordering his execution, decides to keep him. The forbidden bond that grows between them now endangers her throne, enrages her jealous fiancé and places her whole kingdom at risk.
Proper fantasy stakes
By Candy standards this synopsis is packed with plot. It opens with a heist, moves into a captor-and-captive setup, adds her betrothed as a rival and raises the stakes beyond the couple to a crown and an entire kingdom. Those are the ingredients of a fantasy romance novel, and they give five short episodes far more to work with than the usual single situation.
Watch the power balance as well. The princess holds every card from the second she catches him, and the thief’s survival depends on her alone. For fans of a commanding royal figure, that is the hook, and we think it is a gorgeous one.
Setting realistic expectations
Five episodes leave little space for a kingdom-sized conflict. Deep court intrigue probably will not happen; the betrothed and the threat to the crown are more likely to serve as pressure on the romance than as full subplots. The synopsis also leaves the relic and the “sunken court” unexplained.

Our take
A thief who trespasses, a princess who spares him, a jealous fiancé and a kingdom on the edge: Trespasser of the Sunken Court has one of the richest setups on Candy. Five episodes can only do so much, but the premise gives them lots to play with. The two free episodes are absolutely worth watching, and at 36 tokens, finishing is likely a good call.
