How Candy pitches the story
A billionaire boss tells his new intern to stay late at the office. When she does, he dumps her presentation in the trash and asks her one loaded question: what is his name? Then the synopsis jumps ahead. By the time his partner sees a video of what happened, the intern already knows precisely what she is worth.
The blurb works like a trailer: two scenes, a gap between them and a final line suggesting the tables will turn. That makes it far more intriguing than most one-line premises on Candy, and it had us curious from the first sentence.
Why it deserves a closer look
Two details lift it above the standard boss fantasy. The first is the partner: someone outside the office sees a video, so the affair gains a witness and real consequences. The second is the intern’s arc. She starts as the target of humiliation and ends as a woman who knows her value, which signals a power shift rather than one static dynamic from start to finish.
The downside is that the synopsis is intentionally vague about how the video gets made or how she uses the leverage it gives her. You are buying the promise of a twist, not a description of one.
Cost, free episodes and rating
Episodes 1 and 2 are free and give you enough of the boss to judge the premise. Episodes 3 to 5 cost 12 tokens each, 36 tokens in total, or about $1.44 for yearly subscribers, $3.24 for quarterly ones and $5.04 for monthly ones. Our explicitness scale has not rated it yet, and Candy lists no tags for it.
It suits you if…
- you like a boss who begins cruel and a heroine who will not stay the underdog;
- an office backdrop with a hint of scandal sounds appealing;
- you prefer to steer clear of family taboo.
Give it a miss if a harsh, belittling boss ruins the mood for you, since that is precisely where the synopsis starts.
How it compares with similar series
Candy’s suggested companions are other recent standard five-parters, each at 36 tokens and none rated on our scale yet. My First Night Shift also has work in its title, and My Neighbor’s Husband Works Nights! moves the affair next door. Weighing several short series? Our complete episode list gives the price of each.
Our verdict
The My Billionaire Boss synopsis is one of the most story-driven in the catalogue: a cruel opening, a witness and an intern who wins in the end. Only the paid episodes reveal whether that turn truly lands, but at the standard 36 tokens it is a fair bet, and the two free episodes let you test the boss’s charm first. We would unlock it in a heartbeat.
