The premise
Chris goes to dinner to meet the family of his girlfriend, Lily, and one of the guests is Asa, her uncle’s new wife. That makes Asa Lily’s step-aunt, and she sets her sights on Chris. With Lily sitting close by, the attention grows bolder as the evening goes on. Candy’s description stops there, so we do too.
Why this new series is absolutely wild
This new series is absolutely wild because it takes the most buttoned-up setting there is, a family dinner, and makes it the place where nothing can be said out loud. A boyfriend making an impression, a girlfriend within earshot and a step-aunt who plays by her own rules: the tension is built into the seating plan. The poster shows Asa Akira in a glossy red dress, with a startled man in glasses at the dining table behind her.
