What the story is about
Jake has no money left, and with his grades sliding, his scholarship is almost gone. His glamorous professor suggests another route to a pass. From that moment he is torn between a girlfriend who seems perfect on paper and a teacher who has become obsessed with him, and a single wrong move could wreck his entire life.
For a Candy five-parter, the synopsis is packed: three characters, a clear pressure point and real consequences if everything falls apart.
A setup where something is on the line
Most short series run on attraction alone. My Hot Professor adds leverage: the scholarship depends on the grade, Jake cannot do without that grade, and the professor holds every card. A flirtation becomes a dilemma, and the plot gets somewhere to go.
The obsession adds another layer. The professor does more than make an offer; she wants him, and the synopsis paints her as a temptation and a danger to his relationship at once. With the girlfriend in the picture, the promise to “blow up his whole life” hints at real fallout.
Where it might trip up
Everything hinges on the power gap between teacher and student, and for some viewers that will feel more uneasy than thrilling. The girlfriend is summed up in one word, “perfect”, so she may end up as a plot device rather than a character. And five episodes leave little space to resolve this many threads.
