The premise
A new priest arrives to lead a small-town church, and the temptation he meets there comes from inside his own congregation: a young woman from the pews. He is caught between the vows he has taken and the pull he feels toward her, and he gives in, so the two of them begin a secret affair. In a town that small, the risk is obvious, because being found out could cost him his whole congregation.
Why this new series is absolutely wild
This new series is absolutely wild. Forbidden-romance stories rarely get more forbidden than this: a man who has sworn off temptation altogether, a young woman whose spiritual care is literally his job, and a church where everybody knows everybody. Every glance is a risk, and the story needs no villain because the stakes are built into the setting. Even the title borrows the opening words of confession, and Candy clearly knows how provocative that is.
The poster sets the mood perfectly: the priest in a black cassock with a rosary and crucifix wound around his fingers, and in front of him the parishioner in a sheer pale-blue dress, gripping his robe, while candles burn along the pews behind them. Very few adult productions would dare to put that image on a poster, and Candy builds a whole series around it.
