The story
Kasia’s relationship is falling apart. Her boyfriend keeps cheating on her, and while she deals with the fallout, her thoughts return again and again to a man she knows she shouldn’t want: her stepdad. The attraction consumes her, and the synopsis makes it clear it is seeping into every corner of her life.
Why ten episodes make sense
Just 11 series on Candy run longer than five episodes, and this is one of them; here the extra length suits the story. A tale of a relationship crumbling while a new attraction grows is a slow burn by nature, and ten episodes give it room that a five-parter never could. The unfaithful boyfriend also gives Kasia a reason to look elsewhere, which makes her far easier to root for than a character who simply caves.
The catch
The synopsis sketches a state of mind rather than a chain of events. It tells us how Kasia feels, not what happens, and says nothing about how the stepdad responds or whether anyone else finds out. Across ten episodes that could mean a patient, well-paced build or a lot of going in circles. We have not given it an explicitness rating yet, so we do not know the payoff either.

Addicted to my stepdad gives a taboo setup extra room and extra emotion, built around a lead who has a reason for what she wants. The synopsis is vague about what actually happens, so treat the two free episodes as a proper audition before spending a month’s worth of tokens. If they grab you the way they grabbed us, the other eight are an easy yes.
